KALINA BOGOEVA ASSOCIATION
INTERNATIONAL DANCE COMPETITION
FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNGSTERS
LITTLE STARS
SOFIA
04 – 08 July 2011
In 2009 the International Ballet
Competition for Children “Little Stars” was held in
Bulgaria for the first time. The organizers of the event
have been “Kalina Bogoeva” Association, ballet company
“Arabesque”, and the National School of Choreography.
The National Music Theater “Stefan Makedonski” has
hosted a festive event where the children demonstrated
their talent and will to win. 56 contestants (with a
limit of 70 according to the rules) from Bulgaria,
Turkey, Greece, Romania and Ukraine have came on the
stage. Stage performances of the children were
impressive.
7 first prizes,
6 second prizes,
10 third prizes
13 rewards
have been granted.
The competition categories are divided into four age
groups.
This competition has proven the core idea having brought
it to life, that the children since their very early age
show impressive presence on the stage and technical
proficiency. We offer juniors a self-fulfillment
opportunity through intensified and successful
development in the filed of professional dancing.
The first edition was held under the auspices of the
Minister of Culture with the support of Sofia
Municipality Administration.
The second edition will take place from 4 to 8 July
2011.
